Etihad Airways Airbus A340-500 Fleet List

Current Etihad Airways Airbus A340-500 Routes

On 22nd January 2012 Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez today announced that Venezuela is to acquire four Airbus A340-500s from the United Arab Emirates for state airline Conviasa. Details given regarding the age of the aircraft indicates that these are Etihad’s A6-EHA - A6-EHD.

However shortly afterwards Etihad announced its intention to commence service on the Abu Dhabi - Washington route in 2013 and indicated that the A340-500s would be used on the route.

Class Suites, though still in 12F/28J/200Y configuration.


Aircraft were originally used on the Abu Dhabi - Paris CDG and Abu Dhabi - London Heathrow routes until they were used to launch the Abu Dhabi - New York JFK daily service on 26th October 2006.


















Etihad took delivery of its four ultra long range Airbus A340-500 aircraft in 2006. The aircraft were delivered in a 12F/28J/200Y configuration with First Class seats that could swivel to offer face to face dining.


In practice this novel feature was rarely used and from 2009 the aircraft were reconfigured with First
