Etihad Airways Airbus A330-200 Fleet List

Current Etihad Airways Airbus A330-200 Routes

Three further leased examples arrived in 2005 with two being former Canada 3000/Volare machines and one coming from Iberworld. The Iberworld machine retained Iberworld basic livery and operated in an all Economy configuration.

Etihad’s own aircraft began arriving in 2005 with deliveries of the order for sixteen aircraft continuing through to 2009.

Etihad Airways began operations with the Airbus A330-200 when it leased two aircraft from TAM of Brazil in November 2003. These aircraft were used initially to establish the Abu Dhabi - London Heathrow service.

Two further aircraft were leased from TAM from June 2004 to expand services to other European destinations.

One of the leased aircraft departed the fleet in 2005, four in 2006 and the remaining two in 2008.

2005 saw the A330-200s used to inaugurate a three times weekly Abu Dhabi - Brussels - Toronto service.

The Airbus A330-200 fleet has operated in various configurations due to the leased aircraft retaining the interiors of their original operators. These have included the all-economy EC-IDB plus 10F/26J/164Y and 12F/24J/180Y. The A330-200 fleet has now standardised on a two class 22J/240Y configuration.

On 9th July 2011 Etihad unveiled A6-EYE in a light blue scheme emblazoned with footballs and a Manchester City Football Club logo in order to celebrate the airline’s sponsorship of the club. The aircraft is named “Blue Moon Rising”.
