Virgin Australia Boeing 777-3GZER VH-VPE operated EY418 Abu Dhabi – Kuala Lumpur this morning on a wet-lease arrangement between turns on the VA29/VA30 Sydney – Abu Dhabi service. This arrangement will now operate each Sunday.

Airbus A320 A6-EIN operated an Abu Dhabi – Rostov-on-Don rotation today as EY9969/EY9970 in order to deliver parts and crew for the repair of sister A6-EIJ which diverted to Rostov-on-Don whilst operating EY69 Abu Dhabi – Moscow Domedodovo on 17th May.

Etihad Airbus A320 A6-EIJ operating EY69 Abu Dhabi – Moscow Domodedovo diverted to Rostov On Don today following an emergency descent due to a loss of cabin pressure. The flight was terminated and the return EY68 cancelled.

Etihad to Launch Ahmedabad Service.

Etihad Airways today announced a new Abu Dhabi – Ahmedabad service to commence on 1st November 2012.

The A320 service will operate daily to the following schedule:

EY216 Abu Dhabi 2245 – Ahmedabad 0320+1

EY217 Ahmedabad 0510 – Abu Dhabi 0705.

Etihad To Launch Addis Ababa Service.

Etihad Airways today announced a new Abu Dhabi – Addis Ababa service to commence on 2nd November 2012.

The A320 service will operate 5 x weekly (No flights Thursday or Saturday) to the following schedule:

EY681 Abu Dhabi 0945 – Addis Ababa 1230

EY682 Addis Ababa 1455 – Abu Dhabi 1925

Etihad Cancels 7 Airbus A350-1000s.

Airbus today revealed that Etihad had cancelled orders for seven Airbus A350-1000 aircraft taking its commitment of the type down to twelve aircraft.
